Designcad Pro 2000 Free Download
Gotovie shapki dlya yutuba. DesignCAD product family includes versatile 2D and 2D/3D CAD solutions that's easy to learn and use. Perfect for beginners. DesignCAD Pro 2000 (dcad2000.exe). DesignCAD 3D MAX is an easy-to-use 2D/3D CAD program. An intuitive interface and extensive online help makes it easy to get started; you can create complex 3D shapes by simply extruding from 2D shapes.
If you're thinking free update, not. If you're only looking for 2D you can buy V19 express, I would highly suggest you get the 3D max. Some day you'll want the 3D features and it will be there. For 50 or 100 bucks, both are a bargain. You can buy cheap copies of V15 or V17 on ebay, but these are not vista/7 compatible, so even though they were both very good, they won't solve your problem. You can download a V19 trial for free. You MIGHT be able to get your 2000 to work in Win 7 by installing it to some folder other than 'program files'.
I use V15.3 and V17.2 with Vista 64 and I don't see any significant problems. They are installed in DC15 and DC17 folders in the root directory on drive C. Rob is right about getting V19.1.
It is a better program UNLESS you need to import dimensioned drawings from V2000. V19.1 dimensions are not compatible with dimensions from earlier versions. V19 will read the older files but the dimensions may be scrambled pretty badly. You may have to regenerate every dimension. You cannot save dimensioned files from V19 in a format compatible with older versions.
I have a copy of DesignCAD LT 2000 that I have been running for years. I've been lucky in that it installed with each new version of Windows that came out. But now I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 version and my copy of DesignCAD LT 2000 won't install. I've had a good run and am willing to pay for an upgrade that runs on Windows 7 x64 and reads the DesignCAD LT 2000 files. I saw your mention of Express V19 and a free trial download and I'd like to try it out then buy it - even 3D Max would be OK if it works.
But on the Upperspace products page and on the trial download page I don't see any mention of Express V19. Express V15 is the last mentioned on the products page. 3D Max is featured for sale with a special price that expired on 8/30/2008 (!?). The product information seems out of date.
Am I looking at the correct site? Any guidance will be appreciated. JimRR, With Vista and Windows 7 you have to install the program somewhere other than the Windows/Programs folder that older versions of Windows used. You can install them anywhere.
You might try this with DC 2000. Even so, I recommend an upgrade to V15 or V17. They are fully compatible with V2000 files and have a lot of new features.
If you have never used dimensions in your drawings V19 is a good choice. But V19 IS NOT backwards compatible to earlier version drawings that contain dimensions, and V19 drawings with dimensions that are saved in older version format (like V2000) will crash the older version program. It looks like this bug has been fixed for the upcoming V20 release later this year. Dr PR, I tried installing LT 2000 in a different folder - but no luck. I didn't see your message until after I had bought v19. I don't use dimensions so I may be OK. I went to the site specified by DcadRob and got v19 and it seems to be working fine.
I'm a casual user and only used the program to design the extensive irrigation system around my house. I don't use many complex CAD functions. I just didn't want to lose the drawings of all the piping, valves, sprinkler heads, drip nozzles, etc. That I developed over the past several years (29 zones spread across lawns, several flower beds, vegetable gardens, fountains, etc. - big project for me). Thanks again for the advice and help, Jim.
